1. About these terms
These terms apply to every service, treatment, consultation and product purchase
provided by J'adore Skin, and to your use of this website. By booking an
appointment, attending an appointment, or buying a product from us, you agree to
these terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy and
our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which form part of these terms.
2. Who we are
J'adore Skin is a private skin studio operated by Jenna, trading as J'adore Skin
(ABN 43 711 847 398), located at Shop 8, 12 Discovery Drive, North Lakes QLD 4509
(inside Glow North Lakes). Contact: jadoreskinbyjen@gmail.com or 0491 189 133.
3. Booking appointments
-
Appointments are booked through our online booking system (Timely). We may also take bookings by phone or text message.
-
Deposit. A deposit of 30% of the treatment price (or $50 for a plasma fibroblast consultation — see clause 6) secures every booking. For online bookings this is paid through Timely at the time of booking. For phone or message bookings, we send you an invoice by email which you pay through Timely; your time slot is only held once that invoice is paid. The deposit is held as credit on your client account until deducted from your treatment cost at your appointment.
-
Changing your booking. Bookings can't be changed online. To reschedule or cancel, contact us by phone call or text message to 0491 189 133, or through Timely's messaging system.
-
24 hours' notice or more: if you reschedule, your deposit moves with your appointment; if you cancel, there is no charge.
-
Less than 24 hours' notice: if you cancel, we may retain your deposit. If you ask to reschedule, we decide whether to keep the deposit or move it to your new appointment.
-
No-show: if you don't attend and haven't contacted us, we may retain your deposit.
-
Arriving late. Please arrive on time. If you arrive late your treatment may be shortened and the full price still applies. If you are more than 20 minutes late we may be unable to provide your treatment that day; where we can't proceed, it may be treated as a no-show under clause 4.
4. Cancellations, rescheduling and no-shows
This clause and our Refund & Cancellation Policy say the same thing and should be read together.
-
24+ hours' notice: no charge; a reschedule carries your deposit across.
-
Under 24 hours' notice, or a no-show: we may retain your 30% deposit. Nothing more is charged.
-
Repeated late cancellations or no-shows: we may ask for full pre-payment before we book you again.
If exceptional circumstances prevent you from attending, please contact us as soon as you can and we'll take that into account in deciding how to handle your booking.
Nothing in this clause limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
5. Prices and payment
-
A package or course of treatments is used only by the named client, and is not transferable unless we agree otherwise in writing. Packages must ordinarily be used within 12 months of purchase; treatments not used within that period may be forfeited. You can reschedule appointments within that period.
6. Consultation, health information and consent
-
Plasma fibroblast always requires a consultation before treatment. The consultation costs $50, paid via a Timely link at the time you book it. Cancelling or rescheduling the consultation appointment itself, before it happens, follows the normal notice rule in clause 4. Once the consultation has taken place: the $50 is redeemable against your treatment — if you go ahead, it is deducted from the 30% deposit otherwise payable on the treatment, and if 30% of the treatment price is less than $50, no further deposit is charged and the $50 is not refunded. If you decide not to proceed with treatment, the $50 is kept to cover the consultation. If we decide the treatment isn't suitable for you, your $50 can be used towards another treatment or treatments instead.
-
Patch tests. A patch test is recommended at least 24 hours before tinting, lash lifts, and any first-time treatment involving products that can cause a reaction. If you decline a recommended patch test we may decline the treatment, or ask you to accept the risk in writing.
7. Suitability and our right to decline or stop a treatment
We may decline to start, or choose to stop, a treatment if in our professional
judgement it is unsafe or unsuitable for you — for example because of a
contraindication, a skin reaction, or information disclosed on the day. If a
contraindication is identified after you have paid, we will discuss the available options with you, which may include a credit, an alternative treatment or a reschedule in line with the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Any remedy is subject to the circumstances and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Results
Skin and beauty treatments affect everyone differently. We cannot guarantee a
specific result, a number of sessions, or how long a result will last. Outcomes
depend on factors including your skin, your health, and how closely you follow the
aftercare advice we give you.
9. Aftercare
Following the aftercare instructions we give you is your responsibility and is
essential for a good result. For some treatments — plasma fibroblast in
particular — not following aftercare increases the risk of pigmentation, scarring
or infection. Please contact us promptly if you have any concern about your skin
after a treatment.
10. Age
We treat clients aged 13 to 17 for the following treatments only: facials,
lash lifts, tinting, and waxing of the brows, lip/chin, underarms, arms and
legs — always with the written consent of a parent or guardian, who must
attend the entire appointment. We do not treat anyone under 13, and we do not
offer Brazilian or bikini waxing, back or chest waxing, massage, plasma
fibroblast or skin needling to anyone under 18 (see below).
Plasma fibroblast and skin needling are available to clients aged 25 and
over only. A consultation (clause 6) is always required before a plasma
treatment.
11. Retail products
Skincare products bought from us are covered by the returns terms in the Refund & Cancellation Policy: returns within 14 days of purchase where there has been a genuine adverse reaction, supported by documentation. For hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns of opened or used products for change of mind. This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
12. Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase and can be used
against any service (not retail products). They are non-refundable, are not
redeemable for cash, and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. If a voucher is
partly used, the remaining balance stays on it until it expires. Nothing in this
clause affects your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
13. Your conduct
We want the studio to be calm and safe for everyone. We may end an appointment and ask you to leave, without refund, if you are abusive, threatening, or under the
influence of alcohol or drugs in a way that makes treatment unsafe.
14. Personal belongings
Please keep your belongings with you. We are not responsible for loss of or damage to personal items brought into the studio, except where that loss is caused by our negligence.
15. Photos and marketing
We only use before-and-after or treatment photos with your consent, given by the
tick-box on your consultation form. You can decline or withdraw that consent at any
time — see our Privacy Policy.
16. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee,
right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim connected with a service or product is limited to re-supplying the service (or paying the cost of re-supply) or replacing the product (or paying the cost of replacement), and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
You are responsible for giving us accurate health information and for following
aftercare advice; we are not liable for a poor outcome that results from inaccurate
information or aftercare not being followed.
17. Website content
The text, images and design on this website belong to J'adore Skin and may not be
copied or reused without our permission.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time
you book or buy is the version that applies.
19. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of
Queensland have jurisdiction.
